Final score Bucks Hornets 106:62 Harlow Hawks

Top scorers – David Forsyth 40, Tom Edwards 19, Ashton Linney 14

Harlow got off to a quick start, nailing all their jump shots to take the lead by 8.  Hornets, after a sluggish first few minutes in a very warm gym, came back with a succession of steals and fast break points to take them into the end of the quarter up by 5 (26:21).  The turn of play began with a strong showing for Tom Edwards.  Hornets continued to build on their lead by applying consistent pressure and dominated the remainder of the game, finishing with composure.

Josh Hughes, playing up from the U16s, had a great game putting up points and getting a three point play.  Huw Dulkin made his debut for the U18s.

Lee McCarthy (Coach) “We had a very slow start but I was pleased to see the boys respond after an early time out.  David Forsyth (40 points) led by example and gave a true captain’s performance which he started off with an and 1 dunk over the Hawks.  This was the catalyst we needed to get going.  Our first game back after Christmas against Oaklands will be tough.  We need to work hard over Christmas to get back into game shape.”
